Ingredients

Fresh, high-quality henna powder.
Fresh lemon juice (enough to make a firm paste).
One teaspoon of sugar or honey (helps the paste set).
One cup of strong black tea or coffee (cooled and added gradually to adjust the consistency).
One or two drops of any natural essential oil such as clove or rosemary oil (optional, to improve the scent and open hair follicles).
> Important Note: If you have allergies or sensitive skin, do a patch test on a small area of skin before use.

 Step-by-Step Preparation Method

1. In a non-metallic bowl, place the henna powder.
2. Add the sugar or honey.
3. Gradually pour in the lemon juice and stir until a smooth, sticky paste forms.
4. Gradually add black tea or cold coffee until you achieve a consistency similar to toothpaste—don't make it too runny.
5. Cover the bowl and leave the paste in a warm place for 4–8 hours (or overnight) to allow the henna to release its liquid form and the color to develop.
6. Before applying, add a drop of essential oil and stir.

Application Instructions

Apply the paste to your hair or skin (for designs) using a brush or your covered hand.
For longer-lasting and darker color: Cover your hair or the area with a plastic bag and wrap it in a warm towel. The heat and humidity help the dye develop more effectively.
Leave it on for 3–6 hours (the longer it leaves, the darker the color will be). Rinse with water only—do not use shampoo for the first 24 hours, as oxidation after rinsing completes the color setting.
Tips for a darker, more intense result:
Use fresh, well-stored henna. Old henna loses its potency.
Adding lemon juice helps release a stronger dye, but don't use too much if you have an allergy.
Sugar or honey helps the henna adhere and set.
Steam or gentle heat during the setting period intensifies the color.
If you want a very dark shade, you can repeat the application after a week or try indigo using the traditional method—but always test it on a small strand first.

Henna Care:

Wait 24–48 hours before shampooing.
Use natural oils (coconut oil or olive oil) to nourish your hair and add shine.
Avoid products containing bleach or strong amines if you're looking for long-lasting color.

 A few simple warnings:

Do not mix henna directly with chemical dyes without knowing the correct method—it may cause an unexpected reaction.
If an allergic reaction occurs (severe itching, redness, swelling), wash immediately and consult a specialist.
