Homemade Vanilla Butter Cake Recipe

 Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1¹/² tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup unsalted butter

1¹/² cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

2 tbsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup whole milk

Instructions:



Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour 9-inch round cake pans or a 9×13-inch pan

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3–4 minutes).

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.

Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until just combined—don’t overmix.

Divide batter between pans and smooth the tops.

Bake for 30–minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.
